Why the Wellness Industry Isn’t Working & How to Finally Feel Good
Build your health from the ground up — not the top down
“I just don’t feel good”
It’s one of the most common phrases I hear — and one of the most important.
Not feeling good is more than just being tired or bloated or feeling off.
It’s the earliest and clearest warning sign of something deeper.
In fact, “I don’t feel good” is the biggest leading indicator of chronic disease.
90% of chronic disease — think cancer, diabetes, heart disease, dementia, and autoimmune conditions — is lifestyle-driven.
This means that nearly 90% of these conditions can be prevented by changing our lifestyle.
And yet... most of us brush off not feeling well.
We normalize it.
We buy products to “fix” it.
We hope it will go away on its own.
We medicate it.
But when we don’t feel good, it gets in the way of everything — our joy, our energy, our creativity, our purpose.

But here’s what’s really happening:
Wellness has been commoditized.
The market is flooded with bandaid solutions — “healthier” or more “natural” ways to cover up symptoms without ever addressing the root cause.Think: gummy vitamins for thinning hair, or expensive, well-branded supplements for bloating that promise, “Go ahead, enjoy your pizza and cocktails — just pop one of these after.”
But why do we feel bloated when we eat pizza in the first place?
Do we stop to ask that?Taking a pill might offer temporary relief — but it won’t address the underlying cause of the inflammation. Without understanding what's driving the response, we’re just masking the signal and prolonging the cycle.
Personalization is missing.
What works for your best friend won’t necessarily work for you — but the wellness industry often treats everyone the same.Just because your friend swears by a popular probiotic doesn’t mean it’s right for you. And just because your sister thrives on intermittent fasting doesn’t mean your body will respond the same way — or that it will feel good at all.
There’s no foundation.
A bloat supplement won’t do much if you’re still eating inflammatory foods, not sleeping, and living in a constant state of stress.
An IV drip full of vitamins won’t make a meaningful impact if your daily diet is processed and you're consistently exposed to chemicals through your products, food, and environment.
A trendy hair vitamin won’t give you thick, healthy hair if you’re not fueling your body with enough high-quality fats and whole food–based proteins.
An expensive infrared sauna session won’t “detox” your body if you’re drinking alcohol, vaping, or smoking every weekend.
And prescription-grade skincare won’t make your skin glow if your diet is lacking real, whole foods rich in anti-inflammatory ingredients, healthy fats, and essential micronutrients.
We’re sold solutions we’re not ready for.
Before we can add, we have to build.
No product will help if the foundation isn’t there.You can’t out-supplement a poor diet.
You can’t detox your body if you’re still putting toxins in.You can’t pay your way to health if you’re not making the daily choices that support it.
Most root-cause solutions aren’t monetizable.
Why? Because they’re free.Sleep, real whole foods, movement, and meaningful connection don’t come in a package. They aren’t backed by fancy branding, and they don’t come with a $50-a-month subscription.
Organic, sustainably raised, whole-food based protein
A walk in the sun with a friend
Eight hours of sleep
Sitting still and breathing
Nuts, seeds, and olive oil
Push-ups, planks and squats
10,000 steps a daySetting boundaries at work
Eating when you're hungry
Reading before bed
A healthy relationshipNot eating late at night
Fruits & veggies
Avoiding alcohol and smoking
That’s what builds true health.
If you want consistent energy, weight loss, glowing skin, thick, full hair, a calm and happy mind, a healthy gut, mental clarity, and real strength — start there.
So What Do We Do?
🏠 Think of your health like a house.
You can buy the best supplements, the highest-end fitness tracker, or the trendiest wellness drink — but if the foundation isn’t strong, those things will just fall through the cracks.
You can’t decorate a house you haven’t built.
All the fancy furniture and artwork in the world won’t matter if there’s nowhere solid to hang them.
Now, imagine feeling pretty bad is a 0, and feeling incredible is a 100.
The practices that get you to a 90 or 95 (and in many cases, 100!) are completely free.
They’re things like:
Eating real, whole foods
Reducing exposure to harmful chemicals
Practicing mindfulness and meditation
Building strong, healthy relationships
Strength training (even with just your body weight!)
Moving consistently
And, of course, getting quality sleep
These are the true foundations of health.
Once you’ve built those habits into your life, then — and only then — does it make sense to consider adding a supplement, booking a sauna session, or experimenting with other tools for added support.
💡 Supplements, IV drips, and trendy treatments won’t take you from 0 to 90.
But if you’re already thriving at a 90, they might give you that little extra boost to reach 95 — if they’re right for your body.
So instead of spending hundreds on quick fixes, focus first on what actually builds durable, sustainable health from the ground up.
It’s not glamorous, but it works.
